Hyderabad: PanchayatRaj and Rural Development Minister Dr. Danasari Anasuya (Seethakka) announced that the state government is constructing gram panchayat buildings on a saturation basis to ensure every local body in Telangana operates from its own premises. 

Reviewing development programmes across the erstwhile Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar, Ranga Reddy, and Medak districts at the Ranga Reddy Collectorate on Saturday, the Minister said the government had sanctioned Rs 1,000 crore to construct buildings for 5,118 Gram Panchayats currently lacking facilities, with 3,269 projects already past 70% completion. 

Additionally, Rs 800 crore is being deployed to build Self-Help Group (SHG) centers in 8,000 villages, he said. 

Highlighting connectivity drives, Seethakka noted that Telangana is the first state to build rural roads via the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM), executing 3,861 km of road works worth Rs 3,382 crore across the central and southern districts.
