Kurnool: The Andhra Pradesh government is disbursing NTR Bharosa pensions worth approximately Rs 194 crore every month to over four lakh beneficiaries across Kurnool and Nandyal districts, ensuring timely financial assistance.
State Law and Minority Welfare Minister NMD Farooq, alongside Nandyal District Collector G Rajakumari, participated in the pension distribution programme at Polur village on Thursday.
Simultaneously, Industries and Commerce Minister TG Bharath Gupta and Kurnool District Collector Dr A Siri took part in the ‘Pedala Sevalo’ programme at Birlagadda.
Minister Farooq emphasized the government’s commitment to delivering pensions on the first of every month, expressing joy over interacting with beneficiaries.
Collector G Raja Kumari stated that 2.09 lakh beneficiaries in Nandyal receive nearly Rs 92 crore monthly across 16 categories, directing officials to rigorously scrutinize single-women pension applications.
In Kurnool, Collector Dr A Siri noted that over two lakh recipients receive approximately Rs 102 crore monthly, with door-to-door deliveries managed through the Swarna Grama-Swarna Ward programme.
Minister TG Bharath Gupta urged beneficiaries to make effective use of welfare schemes, as both districts prioritize transparency and prompt grievance resolution. Local leaders and officials were present.
