Maintenance tribunal provisions detailed by welfare department officials

Bukkarayasamudram hosts the International Day of Older Persons, where district officials and DLSA Secretary Rajashekhar highlighted legal rights under the 2007 Senior Citizens Act, welfare schemes, and healthcare support.

Organized by the Senior Citizens Welfare Department, the program featured the District Revenue Officer and DLSA Secretary Rajashekhar, who detailed legal rights under the 2007 Senior Citizens Act. 

Health officials stressed regular medical check-ups for seniors, while association members advocated for social inclusion and dignity. 

Attendees were briefed on welfare schemes, ID cards, assistive devices, and maintenance tribunals. Medical officers, pensioners’ representatives, and numerous elderly individuals participated in the statewide observance.
