Karimnagar : Education Department is set to expand pre-primary education facilities in Karimnagar district with the launch of 58 new pre-primary schools during the 2026–27 academic year.
22 such schools were started in the previous academic year and the current expansion aims to provide quality early childhood education to more children, says DEO Prashanth Reddy Karimnagar:
District Educational Officer N Prashanth Reddy said that 22 such schools were started in the previous academic year and the expansion aims to provide quality early childhood education to more children.
These schools are specially for the children aged three years and above, equipped with child-friendly facilities, including toys, educational play materials, colourful wall paintings, green mats, green boards and dedicated learning corners. Each school will have a teacher and a worker to ensure proper care and guidance for young learners.
The objective is to help children develop basic skills at an early age and prepare them for formal schooling. According to the DEO, pre-primary education plays a key role in developing children’s social, emotional and learning abilities.
He said the programme is expected to increase interest in schooling among children and encourage higher enrolment in government schools.
Prashanth Reddy also pointed out that the initiative would ease the financial burden on parents by providing quality early education free of cost in government institutions.
He added that Education department officials would regularly monitor the schools to ensure effective implementation of the programme. Calling upon parents to take advantage of the facility, he urged them to enroll their three-year-old children in nearby government pre-primary schools and help them build a strong foundation for future learning.
