WARANGAL: Mahabubabad District Superintendent of Police Dr Shabarish, has stressed the need to further strengthen the policing system at the village level and ensure responsible service delivery to the public.

The SP made these remarks during a surprise inspection of the Garla Police Station on Monday, where he reviewed its overall functioning.

During the visit, he examined station records, investigation files, progress of pending cases, malkhana, reception, and record maintenance.

He directed officials to complete investigations promptly with quality, strictly adhering to legal procedures.

Later, interacting with police personnel, Dr Shabarish reviewed their performance, responsibilities, and issues.

He held a special interaction with Village Police Officers (VPOs), advising them to regularly visit their assigned villages, maintain complete awareness of local conditions, and ensure continuous coordination with village elders, youth, and public representatives.

The SP instructed the staff to maintain constant vigil on ganja transportation, sale, and consumption of other narcotic substances in villages.

He directed them to promptly report any suspicious information to higher authorities and initiate legal action. He also emphasised the need to establish a strong intelligence network in every village.

He advised all personnel to treat their duties as a responsibility rather than a job, work with dedication, and behave courteously with the public.

He underscored the importance of providing a friendly atmosphere to complainants and resolving grievances transparently and swiftly.

Dr Shabarish further directed officials to effectively implement the beat system and continuously monitor law and order in villages.

He called for special surveillance on rowdy sheeters, habitual offenders, and drug peddlers. He also instructed the police to conduct regular awareness programmes on cyber crimes, drug abuse prevention, and the safety of women and children.

Expressing satisfaction over the cleanliness of the police station, record maintenance, discipline, and public services, the SP urged officers and staff to work with team spirit and further enhance the reputation of the district police.
