Hyderabad : Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, leader of the Jana Sena Party, reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening his party’s presence in Telangana, stating he is prepared to tour the state extensively as a campaigner.
Speaking at a media conference at his Hyderabad residence, Kalyan emphasised his responsibility to address local issues, particularly employment opportunities for youth.
He affirmed that Telangana is an integral part of India and insisted that every Indian has the right to speak on regional concerns. Kalyan dismissed threats from opponents, asserting that such attempts only strengthen his resolve.
He recalled that many who opposed Telangana’s formation now hold high-ranking positions, and praised the support of Telangana’s youth since his days in Yuvarajyam.
Responding to comments by Congress leaders, he pointed out that similar challenges had been faced during Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s tenure, which were overcome with popular support.
Kalyan criticised Congress officials for objecting to his visits to Telangana, arguing that citizens have the right to travel freely across India and that Congress leaders’ own political activities in other states make their objections unjustified.
