Hyderabad: A 45-year-old Osmania University PhD scholar was found murdered at Kokapet within Narsingi police limits on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Venkanna, a native of Khammam who was married but reportedly living separately from his wife and children while residing at a hostel near the university campus.
Narsingi police rushed to Neopolis locality in Kokapet after receiving information from locals regarding an unidentified body.
Investigating officers recovered an identity card establishing his details. Preliminary inquiries revealed that Venkanna operated a private financing business, lending money against pledged vehicles and gold assets.
