Hanumakonda: Warangal West MLA Naini Rajender Reddy on Sunday said that standing by people in distress and sharing their hardships was a true reflection of humanity.
The MLA participated as the chief guest at a blanket distribution programme organised by Amma Nanna Charitable Trust for poor families in Malagutta, under the 31st Division of Hanumakonda.
He distributed blankets and interacted with the beneficiaries, saying that even small acts of assistance could bring comfort to economically weaker families, particularly during winter.
Later, the MLA toured the locality and inspected civic problems, including damaged roads and drainage facilities.
Residents brought several issues to his notice.
He spoke to concerned officials and directed them to take immediate steps to address the problems and prepare proposals for necessary development works.
Rajender Reddy said the government was committed to resolving public grievances while voluntary organisations and donors also played an important role in supporting poor families.
He appreciated Amma Nanna Charitable Trust president Ganji Srinivas Reddy for organising service activities.
Local public representatives, Congress leaders, activists and residents attended the programme.
