Great News for PS4 and PS5 Players: Revival: Recolonization Finally Gets a Launch Date. Revival. Recolonization launches on PS4 and PS5 on Feb. 26, adding to the month's lineup of new games.

A number of games have been released in February, including Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, Nioh 3, and Mario Tennis Fever. Yes, it has been an exciting month of releases, and now, things are set to get even better for PS4 and PS5 players as Revival: Recolonization launch date has finally been revealed.

The long wait is almost over. However, that is not where the February launch dates of big titles will end, there is more. Coming on February 27 is Resident Evil 9: Requiem. However, be that as it may, Revival: Recolonization game's launch date has been revealed as February 26.

Revival: Recolonization is a next-gen strategy experience that the devs say has been 20 years in the making. Starting in 2003, the devs had started their world-building game with Symbian.

The inspiration behind it was Civilization and the Strugatsky brothers' sci-fi classics Roadside Picnic and Noon World. Revival: Recolonization now wants to redefine the genre.

The game is all about the era when the Earth has fallen due to an AI uprising that transformed the planet into a wasteland. Humans, now known as the Emissaries, slumbered in cryopods deep underground.

It has now fallen to you to lead the "awakening" and reclaim the world for humanity. So, you have to research ancient technologies, rebuild cities, and explore deadly biomes. Of course, you have to fend off rival factions.

So, will you be ready to reclaim Earth? Each decision that you take has far-reaching consequences. Your identity is determined by which clan you lead with each faction belonging to one of five Peoples.

Climate ranges from frozen tundras to scorching deserts, and if you enter the wrong biome, your units will lose health and even the ability to build.

That is where your research comes in handy. Ancient Edicts are there with which you can reshape the world's climate and terrain. Don't take this lightly, as you will have the ability to raise mountains, flood lands, unleash acid rain, or trigger a zombie apocalypse.

In case you want to, your foe's homeland can be turned into a frozen wasteland. Yes, the scale of warfare is at the planetary level.

Combat happens on dedicated battle maps and you have to position your squads strategically. You have robust Unit Editor to blend weapons, traits, and gear for your own custom war machines.

You don't always have to do combat, there is scope for diplomacy too, and it will serve you well as a strategic tool to achieve your goals. You can trade techs, forge alliances, and even absorb weaker clans as vassals. All of this will help you to expand your empire

And what is the endgame? You have a face-off with the godlike All-Mind - the very machine that almost caused humanity's extinction.
