Guidance High School celebrates Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad’s 134 birth anniversary-National Education Day

Hyderabad : Guidance High School old Malakpet, Hyderabad celebrated National Education Day marking 134th birth anniversary of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad with zeal and enthusiasm.

The event was followed by the birth anniversary celebrations of Moulana Abdul Kalam Azad which is also the National Education Day on 11th November. The event attended by chief guest – Senior Journalist, IAF Veteran, Editor Indian White Paper, Advocate MA Mujeeb (at High Court and Apex Court) who is also the grand son of Freedom Fighter Sir Turab Ali and who is also the founder President of All India Muslim Federation and the guests of honour among whom are the reputed and outstanding professionals from various fields of Indian Society.

In his address as the Chief Guest of the event, Air Veteran MA Mujeeb recalled the sacrifices and services rendered by Moulana Abul Kalam Azad by paying floral tributes to the tallest Social reformer architect of Indian Education Moulana Abul Kalam Azad one of the tallest personalities among Mahatma Gandhi, Jawahar Lal Nehru, Nethaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Colonel Abur Rahman, Bhagat Singh, Ashfaq Ulla Khan, Madam Hazrath Mahal in the Indian Independence movement.

Mujeeb recalled Moulana Abul Kalam Azad exemplary life. Moulana Abul Kalam was born on 11th November 1888 in Mecca, then a part of the Ottoman Empire, now a part of Saudi Arabia. His real name was Sayyid Ghulam Muhiyuddin Ahmed bin Khairuddin Al Hussaini. Mujeeb paid respects to Moulana’s mother Sheikha Alia bint Mohammad and his father Mr.Muhammad Khairuddin bin Ahmed Al Hussaini and called for their Magfirat.

Moulana Abul Kalam shifted his residence to Calcutta, India in 1890. His journey started as the journalist from his very tender age, Mujeeb added. Mujeeb shared educational policies and methodology guided by Moulana Abul Kalam Azad that made India proud today in all the fields of Indian scientific, engineering, technology, medicine, legal, educational superiority and Indian best commitment over same personalities in the rest of the world.

Mujeeb advocated for the change in students attitude to bring laurels in their academic excellence after 10th in his her very liked profession and excel academic excellence thereafter. Mujeeb recalled the hard work done by Moulana Abdul Kalam Azad in establishing Jamia Millia Islamia, UGC, IITs, NIITs, AIMSs, NIMSs and higher educational institution. Personalities including Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam ( renowned airspace scientist, former Director of DRDL Hyderabad and the former President) one among thousands of mother India’s proud sons and daughters today became authority in their respective area.

Mujeeb asked the students to learn from the hard work done by both Abdul Kalam Azad and Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam from their tender ages, think big, forecast a bigger target, achieve such target with proper planning and execution of studies in phases and make her or his school management, faculty, parents proud.

Mujeeb asked the students to excel their academic interest in medicine, engineering, Education, Science and Technology, Culture etc., and become good Administrators, Officers in Defence, IPS, Security Forces, scientists, professors, industrialists, auditors, historians and accelerate building of Indian reputation over the western world.

Those who addressed the gathering include Dr. SM Hussain Quadri, Dr. Asher Hashmi, Dr. Mughtar Ahmed Farooqui, Dr. K.B. Ansari (president of All India Muslim Federation GHMC Chapter), Dr. Jahangir Adil and Dr. Ali Ba Johar who spoke about the ups and downs faced by Moulana Abdul Kalam Azad in gifting today’s Indian learned Society.

The Management and the faculty conducted various competitions in sports, elocution, essay writings, art, culture, drawing from 8th to 10th November 2021 and adjudged the winners, runner among the outstanding students. Students who received the prizes in Essay Writing on the role of Moulana Abdul Kalam in nation building are (1) Habeebunnisa (2) Hieba (3) Raheemunnisa (4) Rimsha (5) Alisha Unnisa (6) Yasmeen Begum (7) Ameena Hina (8) Mehroze (9) Gulfaroze (10) Rameeza Begum (11) Syed Muaaz Sulaman (12) Heena Begum.

Students who received the prizes in painting competition on life achievements of Moulana Abdul Kalam in nation building are (1) Syed Waheed (2) Tejash (3) Zeba Unnisa (4) Abdul Rasheed. Students who received the prizes in elocution competition on making India self reliance in education by Moulana Abdul Kalam in nation stability : (1) Firdose Fathima (2) Syed Kashiquddin (3) Saba Sultana (4) Afiya Banu.

The faculty who took active part in the event include School Principal Syed Laeeq Uddin, Vice Principal Ms. D Rani Maheshwari, members of the faculty Mrs. Archana Reddy, Mrs. Basheerunnisa Rahima, Mrs. Samina Altaf.
