Berasia: A class IV student, reportedly under depression for not doing well in studies, allegedly committed suicide in Madhya Pradesh’s Karariya village on Thursday.

The child was highly upset because of his poor academic performance.

Shocked over his death, his family claims that his dismal academic performance might have forced him to take the extreme step.

“According to the family, the child was very weak in studies which led him to depression,” Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sameer Yadav said..

”Early morning, the child left home while his parents were asleep and hung himself on a tree,” he added.

“When his parents rushed to the spot on getting the news, he had died,” Yadav said.

A case of suicide has been registered and the police is investigating all aspects of this matter.
