Hyderabad: The Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Warangal, has constituted a two-member committee to look into the issue of non-conduct of classes at Maheshwara Medical College, Patancheru in Sangareddy district.The panel comprising Dr K Ramesh Reddy, Director of Medical Education and Dr D Praveen Kumar, Registrar, KNRUHS will be inspecting the college on Monday. Faculty in the medical college has reportedly stopped taking classes to MBBS students over non-payment of salaries for last six months.
This issue has been going on for several weeks, but the college administration has been telling students and parents that they are trying to resolve the issue to resume the classes at the earliest. Fed up with the callous attitude of the management, students and parents took to protest on the college campus on Saturday. A delegation from parents is learnt to have met the new Health Minister Eatala Rajender of the non-conduct classes at Maheshwara College.
Meanwhile, the Heath University called upon students, parents and the college faculty to meet and represent their grievances to the enquiry committee in college on Monday.On the other hand, the management of Maheswara Medical College is understood to have assured the parents that they would solve the issue by Monday at 11 am.
