MANUU to host Urdu Social Sciences Congress

Hyderabad: School of Arts and Social Sciences (SA&SS), Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), is organising fourth virtual national Urdu Social Science Congress with the theme ‘Social Sciences: Decline & Resurgence’ on December 22 and 23, varsity officials said in a press release on Monday.

Sub-themes in the congress include ‘Strengthening the Discipline of Women Studies’, ‘Role of Higher Education’, ‘Public Administration: Relevance and Resurgence’, ‘Profession of Social Work in India: Issues and Challenges’, ‘Politics: Contemporary Issues and Challenges’, ‘Islamic Studies: Contemporary Challenges and Possibilities’, ‘Issues in History: Challenges and Possibilities’, ‘Rise and Growth of Sociology in South Asia: Challenges Ahead’, ‘Covid-19: Perspectives and Prospects of Economic Recovery Potential in India’, and ‘Deccan Studies: Scope and Significance’.

The university has invited papers written in Urdu in Inpage or Unicode only. Interested participants can submit the abstract of their papers through email – – by December 10 and the last date for submission of the complete paper is December 15. Online registration form will be available in the university website and a link to participate in the congress will be shared after the registration.
