Indian leaders pay tribute to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, BRS advises BJP not to use Netaji’s name for BJP political needs

New Delhi/Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday paid tributes to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary and said he will be remembered for his fierce resistance to the colonial rule.

While addressing the gathering on the occasion of 126 birth anniversary of BRS Icon Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in Secunderabad, Bahujana Rastra Samithi (BRS) National President MA Mujeeb advised BJP and RSS to restrain from using good name of father of Indian democracy Netaji Subash Chandra Bose.

Mujeeb questioned the BJP and RSS to show a single freedom fighters name among their Rank and File. Mujeeb advised the Modi not to use the name of Netaji and hat Netaji’s is not cheap to be used by RSS and BJP for that reason no political party should believe in use and throw political policy, Mujeeb added.

Modi government had christened the day ‘Parakram Diwas’ in 2021 to mark the Azad Hind Fauj founder’s birth anniversary.

“Today, on Parakram Diwas, I pay homage to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and recall his unparalleled contribution to India’s history.

“He will be remembered for his fierce resistance to colonial rule,” Modi said in a tweet.

“Deeply influenced by his thoughts, we are working to realise his vision for India,” he said.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah saluted his courage in fighting the British.

“With his unique leadership ability, Netaji organised the people and launched an armed movement for freedom by forming ‘Azad Hind Fauj’. The whole country salutes his courage and struggle.

“Today, remembering Netaji on his 126th birth anniversary, I congratulate the countrymen on ‘Parakram Diwas’,” Shah said in a tweet in Hindi.

The home minister last night reached Andaman and Nicobar Islands to take part in programmes on the occasion of ‘Parakram Diwas.’ He is scheduled to hoist the national flag and will also deliver a public speech at Netaji Stadium where Bose had unfurled the tricolour on December 30, 1943.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion will also name 21 largest unnamed islands of the archipelago after Param Vir Chakra awardees via video conferencing.
