CM reviews arrangements for World Telugu conference

Hyderabad : Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has instructed that the main dais at LB Stadium for the proposed World Telugu Conference should have besides literary and music programmes, Food Courts, Book Exhibition, Selling outlets, Handicrafts sales emporium, exhibitions by the Archaeological department.

He wanted decorations should be done both inside and outside the LB Stadium. He also wanted the cut out of Telugu Literary figures should be put up at the LB Stadium. The CM held a review meeting on the preparations to be made for the World Telugu Conference on Monday at Pragati Bhavan.

Deputy CM Kadiam Srihari, Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, DGP M Mahender Reddy, Sports Authority Chairman Venkateswar Reddy, Principal Secretaries Sunil Sharma, Burra Venkatesham, Sports Authority MD Dinakar Babu, Sahitya Academy Chairman Nandini Sidhareddy, Secretary Narasimha Reddy, City Police Commissioner VV Srinivas Rao, R&B E-in-C Ganapati Reddy, Cultural Affairs Director Mamidi Harikrishna, CM Special secretary Bhoopal Reddy, OSD Desapathy Srinivas and others attended.

The CM said that besides organising literary and musical programmes at LB Stadium, every day at Rabindra Bharathi, Rabindra Bharathi Mini Theatre, Rabindra Bharathi Preview Theatre, Telugu University, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Lalitha Kala Thoranam, Indira Priyadarshini Auditorium, LB Indoor Stadium, literary functions to be held. He said the Vice President is coming for the inaugural and the President for the Valedictory function and both these programmes should be held at the LB Stadium.

The CM wanted Parking and traffic should be regulated. He also wanted one-day musical programmes on the Telugu film songs. A documentary should be made reflecting the Telangana life style, attire, culture, arts and festivals.
